Issue:
The health effects of air pollution are apparent but less known is the psychological effect (behaviour and performance in workplace). Therefore, the issue is impact from air pollution towards the productivity of workers at workplace.
Evidence:
1) The impact of air pollution makes people less engaged at work and more deviant.
2) Air pollution leads to a decrease in self-control resource (an obstacle to achieve the organization’s goal or a reduction of employees’ commitment)
3) Air pollution not only negatively affect levels of oxygen and glucose in the blood, it can also drain our self-control resources psychologically, causing insomnia, anxiety or depression.)
4)
Government had to close schools in areas that is affected by the pollution due
to health concerns and their safety.
Conclusion:
Organization needs to provide effective ways or policies to tackle the air pollution issue to increase the productivity or workers.
